A Tennessee firefighter was burned battling a house blaze early Friday.
The fire broke out at about 2 a.m. in a Nashville home, WTVF-TV reports. Crews were able to contain most of the fire to the back deck and right area of the house.
A firefighter suffered second-degree burns on his forearm during the blaze and was taken to the hospital. The homeowner, who heard popping sounds as the fire started, was able to safely escape the burning house without injury, WTVF added.
The fire's cause is under investigation.
